Blogger of The Month

 I know I am a little late with this month's blogger of the month, but I want to present one of my favorite bloggers for my birthday month of May!

1) Facts about Maggie:

My full name is Margaret Grace Mattinson, named after my great grandmothers who I owe my 59 inches of stature and rear end. If there's anything I believe in, it's the power of persistence and love and the phrase "life goes on." I'm madly in love with in the most real sense: fairytales not with Prince Charming, but your best friend, happy endings that never end, magic in just doing the dishes together. Call me naiive, but from what I've learned so far, I've decided to treat every moment like it's a treasure I'll never get back. My favorite things are writing, blogging, books, Taylor Swift, my sister, and dresses!

The one thing I can't live without are my leather lace up boots that Niklaas, my photographer and friendboy, got me for graduation. I wear them all year long!

I have this ridiculous and slightly unrealistic fantasy that someday, I'm going to publish this book. A book about real people and real experiences. The people who tore me down and made me into me. And I'm going to come home to the town where it all happened and see it on the shelves of Hastings and run into that ex-best friend of mine that I called out and the first boy I ever loved that i wrote that book about. Oh, and Taylor Swift would read it and we would become best friends.

I would love to have Kate's closet. Her clothes are so  unique and you won't find another Kate in the entire world! I love her to pieces! Also, and it's not just because of the fact that I am literally obsessed with her, I am in love with Taylor Swift's wardrobe. She has the best dresses and shoes!

This month I present to you Masoom from Style Fiesta

1. What inspired you to begin blogging?  

- I was interning with a fashion house when I first came across fashion blogs- and I was absolutely swept by them. It was part idea, part assignment, part undeniable love :)

2. Describe your style. Individualistic. I dress according to my mood, somewhere between vintage and high street 

3. What is one piece that you can definitely not live without - The most perfectly fitting blue jeans.

4. What do you do when you are not blogging? Im taking pictures, reading, dancing, EATING, meeting my friends and going to college!

5. How has blogging changed your lifestyle, etc - I wake up in the morning and before I check the time, I go to my phone browser and check my blog. Moreover, I look at things very differently - from magazines to clothes to stores, I have a whole new perspective.

6. For the new bloggers, can you give us some advice in successful blogging? . Act professional, look professional and pretty soon everyone will start believing that you are.

Part of the new features that I want to add to my blog is the "Blogger of the Month" series! How this works? Every month I will feature a blogger that inspires me and whose style is just absolutely amazing!!! 

So, the first awesome blogger in my series is Veronika from Tick Tock Vintage--one of my personal FAVORITES! She is just great!

1. What inspired you to begin blogging? i really didn't know about any fashion blogs until right before i started my blog (in august 2010). somehow, i stumbled upon selective potential and liebemarlene vintage and became addicted to them. i was at a point in my life where i really hated my corporate job and wanted something to do online while i was staring at my computer all day. i also wanted a place where i could share my vintage clothing and estate sale finds. 

2. Describe your style. hmm, i really think i'm all over the place. i'm generally drawn towards feminine pieces; i love ruffles, chiffon, and nipped waistlines. i like to pair them with quirky accessories, like fur collars, thick leather belts, and vintage hats. i love pastels (ivory, peach, seafoam green) but i've been trying to force myself to adopt brighter colors in my wardrobe. 

3. What is one piece that you can definitely not live without. my high-waisted gray wool skirt. i adore it!

4. What do you do when you are not blogging? all sorts of things! teaching, taking care of my 5 animals, craft projects, thrifting, visiting estate sales, and baking. 

5. How has blogging changed your lifestyle, etc. hmm, i wouldn't say that it's change my lifestyle except that my husband takes my picture every day. i still dress (relatively) the same, and go thrifting just like i did before. i probably spend more time on the internet now, too.

6. For the new bloggers, can you give us some advice in successful blogging? take clear pictures, create original content, and be nice! i take time to respond to every single comment that someone leaves on my blog, whether that means commenting on their blog to responding to them in an email. stay true to your own style; readers will appreciate it!
